Origins & Quality
The entire history of Dallmayr coffee began in 1933, when a young coffee merchant from Bremen, Konrad Werner Wille, came to the Dallmayr delicatessen in Munich, Bavaria. His task was to create a special coffee department. Under the motto “Bremen’s art of blending and southern German love of coffee”, he developed several blends of coffee of an unusually high quality for that time.
He personally bought raw coffee, operated the roasting machine, and managed the sales. Thanks to his skills, Dallmayr coffee made its way into prestigious hotels and restaurants and became Munich's most popular brand.
Dallmayr Espresso d'Oro is made from high-altitude varieties grown on the slopes of Ethiopia. The result of careful bean selection and gentle roasting is a pleasantly fresh taste, light crema, and balanced aroma.
