Chemex Coffee maker for 8 cups, wooden corset

In 1941, chemistry doctor Peter J. Schlumbohm invented a designer coffee machine whose face has not changed even after more than 70 years. And no wonder, there is no need for it. The world-admired and valued Chemex CM-8A is slowly finding a place among Czech coffee lovers. Its author himself claims that "even the largest oven can prepare excellent coffee with the help of Chemex."

The Chemex, at first glance reminiscent of a water carafe, is made of borosilicate glass and has a wooden corset tied with a leather strap in the middle.

Coffee preparation is really easy, just insert a paper filter from the top, rinse it with hot water, pour in the appropriate amount of medium-fine ground coffee and slightly brew with water. As soon as the first drops of coffee start to fall, add water, stirring occasionally.

For a perfect result, we recommend purchasing Chemex paper filters for 6 cups.
